Petroleum coke is a product made by distillation of crude oil to separate light and heavy oil, and then the heavy oil is transformed by the process of thermal cracking. From the appearance, coke is irregularly shaped, black lumps (or granules) of different sizes with metallic luster, and the particles of coke have porous structure, and the main elemental composition is carbon, which occupies more than 80%, and contains hydrogen 1.5%-8%, and the rest is oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and metal elements. According to different uses, it can be used as carbon enhancer or combustion aid, different uses need to choose different petroleum coke particle size.

Site situation：
The project was officially put into operation in Liaoning Province in June 2021, before that there were few vertical mills applied to petroleum coke powder making field in China. When the mill is working on site, the material falls from the lower feeding port in the middle of the grinding disk, and the large pieces of material are directly crushed, while the fine-grained material is squeezed to form a material bed for inter-particle crushing. The crushed material continues to move towards the edge of the grinding disc until it is carried away by the strong airflow at the wind ring, while the larger granular material falls back onto the grinding disc and continues to be crushed, and finally the qualified fine powder is discharged from the mill with the airflow.
