Functions of vertical mill:
(1) Fine grinding function This is an important function of vertical mill. Advances in materials science and technology require raw materials to be ground even finer to obtain excellent material properties. Vertical mill can meet these requirements. (2) For layered materials such as mica, graphite, kaolin, etc., grinding is not enough, and it is also necessary to strip a layer of the material to maintain its lamellar structure. This lamellar structure is very important for their subsequent use. The vertical mill provides this function. It not only grinds the material very finely, but also peels it off layer by layer to make thin sheets. By controlling the operating parameters of the vertical mill, the chip diameter is made as large as possible while realizing the chip function.
(3) Mixing function of the mixing equipment is a wide variety, but most of them are mixed without changing the particle size of the material, the mixing effect is naturally limited. The use of vertical pulverizer to mix the material, can make the material to obtain a certain grinding fineness, the formation of fresh surface, improve the mixing effect between the materials.
(4) molding function: some materials do not need grinding, but to have a certain shape. For example, quartz sand used as molding sand needs to be nearly spherical. For other materials, such as silicon carbide, zinc oxide, diamond, etc., its shape is also required to be nearly spherical, while the silica wire stone is required to be needle-like and so on. Vertical mill can realize this shaping function, so that quartz sand, silicon carbide, zinc oxide, diamond and other irregular shapes approximate spherical, silica thread stone is needle-like.
